Description

To show Carrefour’s commitment to the wellbeing and comfort of its staff we have created The Uniform that Cares: a revolutionary uniform made from CottonX – a fabric that uses advanced thread technology to fight against viruses and bacteria.

Execution

The first step was to find the right kind of innovation, one that would address the challenge of offering an extra layer of protection to checkout staff. We decided to produce a clothing that can be worn every day and protect from viruses and bacteria. Having tested The Uniform that Cares in a Carrefour store, it was time to shoot a film for other employees. The emotional story in the movie engaged with the idea of the individual wellbeing of our heroine, Iza – a member of checkout staff. This raised awareness of the project and helped spread enthusiasm among Carrefour employees.

Outcome

Media Outputs:

The project has been ongoing for 10 days but we have already managed to get positive media coverage on one of the most popular radio station in Poland and on some of the biggest retail websites. The video has been viewed by 300K followers, which is impressive considering it was directed to a very narrow target group.

Target Audience Outcomes:

Our goal was to ensure that employees felt that Carrefour was interested in their wellbeing. The results of the survey conducted on a group of our employees showed that 98% of respondents appreciated the efforts of Carrefour, and were excited about their employer exploring innovations to improve their comfort. Over 90% of respondents believe that The Uniform that Cares could be beneficial for them at the turn of winter and spring.

"The work is gaining a nation-wide acknowledgement: it has been recently noticed and tweeted by former vice prime minister of Poland - Janusz Piechocinski"
