Execution

We developed a new form of mobile communication, by seizing the Wi-Fi network display on people’s smartphones - with 8 mobile hotspots! If you give the hotspots the right names, you can communicate messages and directions right to people’s phones. So we packed up the hotspots to place them for 5 days directly next to the nearby cafes. Each customer, who looked on his phone for Wi-Fis was shown the way to DELI STAR, together with our message: “Free Wi-Fi at DELI STAR”.

Outcome

Within the first period of the campaign 116 new customers were acquired. This success far exceeded all expectations – especially regarding the short period of only 5 days. Furthermore this campaign generated via the landing page more than 700 Facebook-likes and various blogs and websites reported about it.

For the results all customers were measured, who have either taken the campaigns offer of a free coffee or who clearly declared that they reached DELI STAR via the campaign.
