Description

Create ‘The World’s Smallest Showroom using google glasses

We designed the world’s smallest showroom that delivers a rich driving experience with google glasses to introduce the upcoming launch of Audi A1.

The two experiential videos “urban driving” and “showcase” were filmed with a 360-degree VR camera technique. Team Audi Korea driver You K.O was casted for this project.

The google glasses video was bared on a smartphone app.

Using the app, users can take a test-drive with a famous driver in showroom and watch his showcase presentation.

They can immerse themselves in the sights and sounds of real-life.

And for people who don’t have the google glasses, they can also experience the showcase and test-drive through gyroscope features on mobile phone and PC

Execution

As an Audi A1’s first launching in Korea. We created introducing website which also can watch the Audi A1 showcase and driving video as a 360 degree. From website audience could apply for Audi A1 google cardboard and download application at one stop. For audiences’ convenience we created experience video as able to watch with cardboard and without cardboard at the same time. We opened website week before Audi A1’s launching to audience can able to apply for cardboard first and test-drive.

Outcome

Since 11th June the website achieved a record 500,000 visitors a month.

The A1 360-Degree Showcase App generated more than 180,000 downloads and about 30,000 users applied for a pair of google glasses.

Audi Korea is leading the market with a successful campaign, being the first automotive brand to use a 360-degree virtual reality showcase.
