Oscar Wilde once said: “Life imitates art far more than art imitates life”. This campaign is based on exactly that. We see people in their everyday life imitate famous movie scenes. But the scenes they have chosen to imitate are already very common and leave their audience unimpressed.
More specifically in this TVC, we see a man imitating the very famous trick from the movie Shawshank Redemption. But, since it has been shown before and thus has lost its originality, the warden is not tricked by the Rita Hayworth poster.
What this TVC does is invite people to attend the Thessaloniki International Film Festival so that they can get inspired again and “Get New Ideas”.
