A young Sibling receives a call from her sister (Nthabi) to say that “THEY ARE COMING”, Her family receives this information with the perception that Nthabi is bringing guests. They then start cleaning and preparing the house for guests. Looking in the fridge and seeing nothing to prepare, they order Nando’s to the rescue. Nthabi eventually arrives, but to everyone’s surprise, Nthabi has arrived alone. The family asks Nthabi, where are “they” Nthabi explains that she is ‘they’. They all laugh and get it now that Nthabi refers to herself as ‘they” (pronouns). They then sit around the table and enjoy the Nando’s meal. The uncle makes a joke and says to Nthabi she should have brought a partner.
