We worked with Aberdeen Asset Management to architect a fully integrated content publishing programme. The design of a fully responsive publishing platform with a masthead of 'Thinking aloud'. Commitment is given to a daily content publishing programme with unique and arresting images with primary distribution across Aberdeen Asset Management's social media channels.
Content is further promoted through ongoing, targeted paid media activity. As an example the content series ‘10 Golden Rules of Equity Investing’ (animated YouTube videos narrated by John Cleese) has now been deployed across UK and 11 Pan European countries. All this a first within the category.
Outcome
Although the programme is only in it's infancy (launched in early Feb 2015) the 6 x week paid media campaign delivered the following:
• YouTube: 9.7M impressions/ 2M views (18% view rate)
• Twitter: 3.9M impressions/ 30.1k engagements
• LinkedIn: 1.4M impressions/ 6.1k clicks /1.2k social actions
Engagement: Cost per Engagement - £0.07*
* based on 2M confirmed engagements (across owned social media channels).
A typical CPE benchmark cost for a digital advertising engagement is traditionally measured in tens of pounds making this programme hugely cost effective for Aberdeen Asset Management and a highly repeatable process.
