We developed The Pixelometer: A web-based application, that would show our target how much they would spend on gas for a Prius compared to other sedans. They were driven directly to the site by the online banner ads. The site converts the pixels on users’ screens into actual distance. Each pixel moved with the cursor equals one virtual mile driven with a Prius.
Potential saving was shown in a dynamic wallpaper to be chosen from: A virtual living room that gets filled with furniture, a closet will begin to fill with new shoes and clothes and leaves growing on trees.The Pixelometro is the push they needed to consider going Hybrid.
