In this radio spot, we follow the story of a young Somali boy named Ali. When extremist fighters try to force him into their ranks, he runs away. He makes his way across thousands of miles of desert to Libya, where he is robbed and thrown in jail. After months, he escapes his captors and boards a boat for Italy. Just when things are starting to look better, the boat sinks. Ali wakes up in an Italian hospital, unable to recognize the person he had become.
