The mandate of Quebec Tourism, a governmental department, is to promote the Quebec province as the best vacaction destination. Quebec's official tourist site is chock full of invaluable information on how to, best explore Quebec, holiday ideas, and a range of activities that have earned Quebec its outstanding reputation as a four-season destination. An interactive tool on the site currently allows users to search and book hotel reservations and holiday packages Online. We launched a rich banner campaign that contributed to interactive tool awareness and generated use of the most important Online get-away-package reservation system in Quebec. The rich media banners were created with a customised application that allows users to dynamically interact within the banner itself without being referred to a different site. They are able to make choices of getaway packages like biking or golf by clicking on objects or taglines within the banners ad itself. Users have to select the kind of activities they want to practice and the area where they want to go. Navigationally simple, users can obtain priced packages after just 3 steps. If users want to book online, the banner links them directly to the appropriate package, in a secure section of the reservation tool. These interactive banners are a first of their kind in Quebec. Objectives: to promote www.bonjourquebec.com's online reservation system; to generate traffic for www.bonjourquebec.com; to position www.bonjourquebec.com as the leading Quebec website for vacation planning and online booking.Target group: Quebec men and women, ages 35-55.
