OVERVIEW

Description

It was a question of highlighting the game’s principal difference: the incorporation of large doses of combat, and the player’s freedom to use any object at hand as a weapon. And so we gave our target a broom and a dossier. In the dossier was a user’s manual for the broom, with a license number, since 'with the launch of ALIAS, any object can be a lethal weapon'. In the dossier all of the features of the game were explained, and a CD-ROM with screenshots was included.

Outcome

The media avalanche which the mailing caused, by means of: • interviews with ACCLAIM press officers; April cover stories in magazines such as PlayStation 2 Official and Planet Station.• A multitude of press notes published on sector websites such as: meristation.co, vandal.net, playstation.com, xboxmaniac.com, ociojoven.com, videojuegos.com, ultimagame.com, centromail.es, playaddiction.com, fnac.es, ludics.co, mgk.es. As a result, the company decided to export the mailing to the UK and to Germany.
