Execution

With tremendous detail and lifelike movements, the whale comes alive and draws the viewer into its world. Using the mouse pointer, the user can navigate around the entire whale and when s/he tries to close the window, text appears: "Think before you close this window. This might be the last life size whale you will ever see“.

Outcome

The banner was translated and spread throughout Germany, Latin America, the United States, Australia and the UK.The response was immediate: the international press took over and several online media websites reported on the banner. There has been an increased number of protests and visits to the WDCS website.
