Most private homepages are used as personal photo galleries. Our task, therefore, was to develop a sales platform for T-Online homepage packages which focused on an online photo gallery.
In order to appeal to the target group in an unconventional, innovative way, a highly spectacular platform was created: The Online Palm Reader, a playful and witty idea whereby users place their hand onto the screen and their future is foretold via a virtual scan. Naturally, the outcome of each ‘reading’ is that the user is encouraged to place an order for a homepage, at a discounted price of €44.80.
The Online Palm Reader achieved the desired sales success via viral means and with a minimal media budget.
