Description

Every year over 250,000 baby seals are inhumanely slaughtered in Canadian waters. The International Fund For Animal Welfare (IFAW) needed to urge Canadians to write to their Prime Minister to stop this unsustainable hunt. The problem is Canadians don’t respond to cute or shocking pictures of baby seals getting slaughtered. But they do get angry over the most insignificant things. The campaign targets this human insight. 250,000 baby seals are about to be slaughtered and this campaign description is getting too long. Get angry for the right reasons. www.stopthesealhunt.ca IFAW

Execution

The IFAW - ‘Get Angry For the Right Reasons’ campaign was launched in Vancouver just before the beginning of the baby seal hunt in March 2008. The media was made up of transit posters, bathroom posters, coasters, and an interactive component of banner ads, pop-up windows and a facebook viral ad.
