Based on an extensive analysis, a contest was created for colleges without a domain name.This was the Go A-live Challenge - an all India inter college contest created to target student teams who would produce their own college websites.Task Given: Designing the college website with integrated services like mail box, online document, note sharing, Instant Chat and 5 GB Mail Storage etc with official mail. 9437 institutes in 71 cities were contacted across India. The campaign featured assistance from promotion team with DM’s, Posters, Questionnaires for feedback, Tele-Calling team & Technical Support Team as well as judging by Microsoft officials.
Outcome
252 campuses now use live functionality enabled websites.
0.354 million students have been added to use a live ID.
Reached out to 71 cities in India over 11 states.
Added a NET 15% to the total Microsoft India Email ID base. Met 3 times the target in just 8 months.The GAC program is now recognized by Microsoft as being the single largest contributor in fighting competition in the product space.
