Description

“Workplace” is a documentary film about the past, present, and future of the office–exploring how the way we work is impacted by the spaces in which we work. Filmmaker Gary Hustwit (Helvetica, Objectified, Urbanized) follows the design and construction of the new headquarters of an NYC-based company, as the organization looks to blend digital and physical space to create the connected office of the future. The film examines how design and technology innovations in digital tools, lighting, furniture, and infrastructure, can make the office a better place for people to work and collaborate. With commentary from experts across industries, “Workplace” paints a picture of the way employers are becoming increasingly flexibile in the organization of their offices, allowing their employees to play a role in the design and creation their ideal work environment.
