For building other TV actions linked to sponsors and 'mutations' of bumpers, we created the live mutation of Javier Sardá, indisputable king with his program 'Crónicas Marcianas' on late-night TV, an unrivalled icon for our target audience. We turned him into Wolverine, one of the main characters of X-Men 2. This incredible transformation was the highest expression of our characters’ mutant nature, a real 'TV boom' that placed the release as a great date for the weekend.
Outcome
More than 3.5 million audience attended the spectacular mutation, this had an effect on the notoriety ratings of X Men 1 exceeded in 141,2%.The action had repercussions in the box office on the first weekend of screening - '+17% in comparison to the big releases of the year and in the total takings forecast - + 38%'.
