OVERVIEW

Description

Within Ecuador’s Yasuni National Park, there are 846 million barrels of oil, equivalent to 20% of the country’s reserves, located in the ITT field. To protect the extensive biodiversity, and indigenous tribes, Ecuador has renounced exploitation of the reserves, and asks for the world's support.

The short film was designed to generate a grassroots movement to support the Yasuní-ITT Initiative among English-speaking audiences and the global community. A short film by EO Integration was created to bring the issue to the people who have the power to bring a solution. When an oil rig is installed in Madison Square Park, bystanders are forced to ask themselves "What would I do to stop an oil rig from drilling in my park?"
