BriefExplanation
The Rap Monument is forty- two-minutes of pure rap bliss from three recording sessions held in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New York. The film is half documentary and half music video for the longest rap song ever recorded.
Execution
Rap music is the most predominant, fashion-forming, socially relevant form of music for young people worldwide. It’s also a movement that houses the largest cast of characters in comparison to other musical genres. So, what would be better than getting the entire cast of characters into one film? Getting them all in one film based on the recording of monumental original song. On top of the global impact that the genre and it’s artists have had, we strategically filmed and recorded in the three hot spots for hip hop - New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta.
The producer was commissioned to create original soundtrack that was then laid out for forty plus rappers to lay down verses on. We set up three recording sessions in three cities (New York, Los Angeles, and Atlanta) and had rappers come in one by one to work with our engineers to record their verse.
