Effectiveness

We developed a limited edition book: The Bible of BBQ. This book shows Tramontina's vision of how to make a perfect barbecue. Quite literally: each page of the book was designed to be used in a real barbecue. For instance: a page that can be used to sharpen your knife; a page (made entirely of salt) to salt your meat, a page printed on coal and an inflammable page to start the fire. By following the order of the book and reading Tramontina’s instructions, anyone can make the perfect barbecue.

The Bible of BBQ was sent to important barbecue restaurant owners and displayed in the barbecue section of home supply stores.

Implementation

Barbecue is a Brazilian passion, and Tramontina is the leader brand of kitchen supplies in Brazil. It has the most complete line of barbecue accessories. But now, the brand needed to emphasize the extent to which it takes barbecue seriously, in order to gain respect and loyalty among barbecue enthusiasts. Our solution was to create a unique source of information on barbecue and at the same time offer something that is more than just a simple cookbook.

Outcome

The Bible of BBQ was a hit among barbecue enthusiasts, and Tramontina received thousands of messages from people trying to buy the book. Now, Tramontina is researching how to transform this limited edition into a mass-market book.
