OVERVIEW

Write a short summary of what happens in the film

A woman has to live her life with a grill permanently stuck on her teeth.

She uses this life experience as inspiration to create a film better than A.I. ever could.

Background:

Artists and creatives are feeling threatened by the latest wave of A.I. developments such as Chat GPT and Midjourney.

Brooklyn Film Festival wants to show that human experience, good or bad, will forever give us the edge over computer generated creations.

Describe the Impact:

The campaign was launched in mid April. Results and impact are not yet available.

Please tell us about the cultural insight that inspired the work

A.I. is developing faster than ever. It has painted ‘original’ art, written a new episode of Seinfeld and composed a hit song. All while being readily available to the masses through programmes such as Chat GPT and Midjourney.

To the Brooklyn Film Festival’s audience of filmmakers, artists and creators, the future seems to be less secure than ever.

Is there any cultural context that would help the jury understand how this work was perceived by people in the country where it ran?
