Background

The climate crisis has reached alarming levels, extreme weather changes like sudden shifts from high-heat to heavy rainfall highlight the severity of the situation. It is time to act now to ensure that there will be a future that can be fought for.

Project Dandelion is a women-led community with a mission to bring more people into the movement for climate justice.

The project's symbol, dandelion is a sign of hope and resilience for the movement, reminding us that

it spreads by blowing in the wind to seed more dandelions—just as Project Dandelion aims to do.

Our campaign is designed to use the power of a microphone to spread ideas similar to a dandelion.

These figures show individuals feel alone and powerless in the fight against the climate crisis.

They doubt their efforts will make a difference and believe their leaders won't take necessary actions. Limiting deodorant usage is not enough to save the climate by itself. They have to go bolder. But how? As the public remains uncertain on what to do, world leaders continue to avoid essential steps.

This campaign offers a new medium for those frustrated with empty promises and unfulfilled

climate goals.

Describe the strategy

Our campaign aims to inspire hope to by simulating a promising result. It directly targets the campaign's primary audience—digital noicemakers who are vocal about climate crisis. Additionally, it allows politicians to clearly hear society's demands regarding the climate crisis.

With world leaders' speeches crafted by their community, individuals will have the opportunity to realize the power of raising their voices.

As for the politicians, they will hear an alternative version of their speech, a manifesto created by their community, voiced by themselves. It will be a solid symbol of society’s expectations of them.

The campaign will also use the voice of digital noisemakers to transfer stories of frontline workers through a new buddy system. This initiative aims to multifold the campaign's impact

to unite 10 millions of Dandelions by November 2025, at COP30.

Describe the execution

Awareness (Take the stage)

We will announce key speech dates for political leaders on Dandelion’s social media and issue an open call for the public to re-create the leaders' speeches, incorporating their views on what should be said about climate change.

Contributions will be gathered on projectdandelion.com. Using AI, we will create and release an alternative speech with the leader’s voice and visuals on our social platforms before the actual speech takes place.

Engage (Earn the praise)

We will encourage Dandelions to share their contributions to inspire others. A Dandelion-branded story template will show their involvement in the generative speech and invite others to join.

Reach (Surf the crowd)

We're creating a buddy system on projectdandelion.com, pairing digital influencers with frontline workers to share their stories with wide audiences. Through podcasts and YouTube chats, we aim to amplify the voices of these workers, who offer valuable insights and multifold the campaign's reach.
