OVERVIEW

Write a short summary of what happens in the film

To fight against the prejudices about male success, we need to get them out of people's heads. The problem is that our imagination doesn't have enough tools to recreate a different reality since all we know are the sexist behaviors that have influenced us throughout our lives.

That's why we decided to create a film that plays with people's imagination by showing the horrible face of the perception most of us have about what a successful man should be like. This film aims to make people create an image in their heads based on what they're reading and then show them that most of them created the typical image of a "successful man" and not one that represents a different reality.

Background

The Unstereotype Alliance aims for advertising to do good in the world and is contributing to empowering people in their diversity. The challenge they pose is to eliminate one of the most prominent and least talked stereotypes that media and advertisign had created: "masculinity and the perception of success in men." To achieve this, they need a film that sparks a conversation to show us that we need to change the way we perceive these topics so that Gen Z feels represented in the portrayals, preventing mental health issues stemming from the "should be," and making everyone recognize that this is a problem that isn't talked about and needs change.

Strategy and Insight

Imagination is a very powerful tool for creating images in our minds, but the problem is that these creations are influenced by what we consume, in this case, the perception of what a successful man should look like.

Our Film wants to change how people see a successful man by showing how masculinity and success really looks like.

The real film in our piece is the one that plays out in the imagination of each person who watches it.
