Boostin' Nuts began as an 'Easter egg' within the 2008 Jeep Liberty launch site [www.jeep.com/sessions] - a secret goodie meant to reward curiosity clickers. But after this ridiculously simple 8-bit arcade game got over 50,000 plays as a hidden link, we couldn't help but spin it off as a Facebook app to see what would happen. Fans can now keep track of their friends' high scores and throw down challenges as only you can on Facebook. To date, with ZERO paid promotion, the Boostin' Nuts game has been played over 100,000 times, with an average of 33 plays per person. Now that's nuts...
Execution
At launch, the television spot "Pouring In" garnered mass attention in primetime and beyond. Jeep.com offered a permanent home for the Liberty-loving animals with the "Liberty Sessions" site, where they could serenade curious consumers with vehicle accolades and punchy music videos. In total, the animals offered nine original songs, six music videos, downloadable MP3s, audio outtakes...even a video game - all in dedication to this new set of wheels. They also made major appearances on highly trafficked websites (via rich media ads and page takeovers), in a Facebook application, and in print ads.
