Description
State Farm and LeBron James want to help kids graduate high school. They have partnered with non-profit organization 26 Seconds to help raise awareness about some of the staggering statistics surrounding America’s dropout epidemic. Every year, over 1.2 million students drop out of high school in the United States alone. That’s a student every 26 seconds – or 7,000 a day. In this commercial, a high school kid decides to sleep in, instead of waking up for school. After hitting the snooze button, he is quickly sucked into another reality where he witnesses what his future life would be like without a high school diploma. This commercial shows that something as small as sleeping in, can have a real and lasting impact on your life. The commercial was shot on location in Akron at LeBron James’ alma mater St. Vincent’s/St. Mary’s.
