In this film we tell the story of an immigrant family living in the Greater Toronto Area through one continuous take. A mother leads us through a typical family home environment: dinner is almost ready, a loving husband arrives home from work, her youngest child is playing outside, her eldest arrives home from camp. During these moments we see hints of the YMCA’s presence in their lives and in the surrounding community. Then, the story seamlessly pivots to reveal a much different world where the family and the community they live in does not have the support of the YMCA.
