In India, it is a misconception that women are vulnerable to violence only outside their home. Many a time, they are asked not to travel alone or late at night simply because outdoors are considered unsafe. The truth, however, is a bit different. It is actually in their own homes that women become victims of violence- that too, by people they know and trust.
