The media team immediately grabbed the idea and smoothly implemented it by changing the URL the code directs people to the exact moment Mercado Magazine uploaded a new note on its website. The URL needed to be changed every 3 days so people could see the ad as a useful tool for them. As a result the ad worked perfectly as a source of information.
Outcome
The result of the implementation was very positive. Not only we manage to establish the ad as a searching tool for readers looking for notes about China but it also increased Mercado website traffic in 12%. In addition readers consulted the ad frequently reaching up to 200 scans daily, building a new bond with Mercado Magazine. On the other hand Mercado Magazine wanted to create new ads for different subject. We are working on Latin America ad right now.
