We needed to create a tone of voice for the whole agency and inspire employees.
Execution
David Ogilvy, Ogilvy’s founder, was one of the most brilliant men in advertising. He was provocative, bright, clever and a visionary. Most of the values that he believed, said and practiced are still valid and are used by many. As a result, we seized an opportunity to bring back what is unique about the agency itself: David Ogilvy. We came up with a David icon and the tagline Being More David: an invitation to people to bring him into our day to day working lives.
Outcome
By asking people to behave like him, we spread David’s principles to employees, clients, colleagues and made clear Ogilvy Brazil’s relevance within our business. Now the agency is made of hundreds of “Davids”, and his quotes even have helped us to win important pitches throughout the year.
