We did what anyone looking for a partner would do; we woo'ed them. We shortlisted desired candidates in the industry and sent flowers anonymously to them at their office. We then sent an anonymous card explaining that we'd been 'admiring them from afar' and invited them to 'heavenlymatch.com.au'. There, we revealed who we were, that we were looking for a 'partner' and encouraged them to apply. Shortlisted candidates were invited to a 'first date' at our office, complete with rose petals, candles and string trio. The final two were then invited to a speed dating night with the agency.
Outcome
Objective: Hire ONE exceptional account service person.Result: Hired TWO exceptional account service people (that's an increase of 200%).More than that, we also received one email from an annoyed and just slightly insecure, MD.
