We open on a lady brushing her teeth. She has just asked Alexa for today’s weather. To her dismay Alexa coughs mid-sentence, then goes silent. At Amazon HQ we see a group of employees reassuring CEO, Jeff Bezos, that although Alexa has lost her voice they have replacements lined up. We then see these replacements trying, and failing, to do Alexa’s job. Gordon Ramsay berates a man asking for a grilled cheese recipe. Cardi B. is bemused by a boy doing homework, for wanting to know how far it is to Mars. Rebel Wilson tries to seduce a dinner party host. Cardi B. refuses to play country music and Anthony Hopkins responds, chillingly, to a girl who wants to call her boyfriend. As we pull back from Anthony, who is feeding peacocks in his garden, we hear Alexa’s voice return. She says ‘Thanks guys, but I’ll take it from here’.
