Background
Our challenge was to organically and cohesively integrate VR and a real-world cycling group in a creative and accessible way, to take the energy of the cycling group and match that to the excitement of the VR frontier, to make something fresh, exhilarating, and aspirational that illustrates the future of the Metaverse. VR is foreign to many people, so we needed to bridge the gap for our audience.
We employed a fast-paced edit and hyper-mobile camera to create energy and make seamless transitions between VR and reality. High saturation and bright colors integrate the two worlds in a unique and stylized way, and tell a personal, human story, despite the advanced technology being advertised. What resulted was an accessible and unique film that delivered on the brief and creative vision.
Execution
Following a group of East African cyclists, Meta's 'Amani' commercial tells a story of achieving the impossible with the assistance of groundbreaking technology. The commercial is a powerful reminder of the potential that technology has to bring people together and to break down barriers that once seemed insurmountable. With stunning cinematography and a poignant soundtrack, the Amani commercial for Meta is a celebration of the resilience and determination of the human spirit, and a reminder that when we connect and support one another, anything is possible.
