Execution

To create expectation, one Saturday the historic quarter was suddenly covered in 5000 post-its, saying: “Don’t let Binyam and the other prisoners of Guantanamo be forgotten”.On that same day, the young people who had gone shopping in the area found just what they were looking for: “what’s in”. What’s in is the boiler suit... Next to it, was the message: “…it’s still “in” at Guantanamo”, together with an invitation to do something to improve this reality.

Outcome

Thanks to his family, to human rights' activists, to international prisoners, to the United States’ new policy and to all the campaigns by Amnesty International, Binyam Mohamed was freed on the 23 February.''I know I would not be home in Britain today, if it were not for everyone's support''.Binyam Mohamed
