Description
What if all you needed were ideas to build prototypes? In order to further open up the environment for device development, we established a project called Android Experiments OBJECT. By matching great ideas with engineers and supporting companies, the ideas were developed into prototypes.
Execution
We first asked for a wide range of ideas for devices that would enhance daily life and change future by linking with the Android. Over 200 ideas were submitted from all over Japan. Four ideas were chosen by 19,000 online votes and prototypes were developed with the support of engineers and supporting companies. 18,000 people visited its exhibition. The prototypes went viral from Japan to the world, and they also created conversation on social media.
