This commercial is part of the It Doesn't Have To Happen anti knife crimecampaign. All the ads in the campaign were written by young people withfirst hand experience of knife crime in collaboration with advertisingcreatives.
This spot highlights the damage that knife carrying does by marrying up shot CCTV footage of a stabbing with the real, recorded words of a mother whose son was stabbed to death just yards from her house.
