Description

We have introduced unique and fun naming and design concepts describing the tastes and characteristics of beers produced by Korea Craft Brewery. The new design concepts let us naming beers differently, even the same beers, depends on when and where our beers get drunk and produced unique and interesting labels as a product of collaborations with many artists and companies. This helped the people to enjoy beers even more, let alone the taste. Not only the label designs but also brand logo design is combined with different graphic patterned background along different cultures that the beer is connected with on diverse cultural promotion events. Such creative ideas now dominates the Korean beer market, where those concepts barely existed, as we brought them into the industry

Execution

The graphic design of ARK contains the lines of the actual brewery architecture. The vibrant design also reflects the emotions of people from diverse cultures enjoying ARK beer in various situations.

Outcome

ARK has become the leading brand of the craft beer market and has helped popularize craft beer culture in Korea. ARK produced the first bottled craft beer and has the largest variety of flavors amongst Korean beer brands. Also, distribution channels have increased over 230% and sales have been rapidly expanding. ARK won the beer category in the 2016 Korea Wine & Spirits Awards. ARK has collaborated with a number of brands in different industries as well as with the k-pop groups Girls Generation and TVXQ. Some consumers are even paying premium for out-of-stock limited edition versions of ARK beer and goods and many companies are offering investment and M&A.
