Description
Audi Foundation was established in 1997 to provide funding and encouragement to young designers and entrepreneurs in the UK. The Foundation's mission is to inspire young people to seek to innovate in the fields of design and engineering by encouraging individualism, prescience, the desire to take risks and the ability to inspire. The aim was to produce a distinctive site for Audi Foundation that embraced Audi's ethos towards form and function whilst maintaining an independent online identity for the foundation. The site aims to become a key online community for all types of people across the design and engineering communities. Good Technology developed the site for Audi Foundation and combined flash and DTML to produce a modular interface. This rare combination of technologies has allowed the Audi Foundation site to integrate a database system with a visually exciting active interface. The overall design is a contrasting mixture of the solidity of the content boxes, the controlled nature of the information design and the fluid feel of the menu system. The style created has a raw, industrial feel that aims to suitably refelct Audi Foundation's role within the design community.
