We wanted to demonstrate that BBC FOUR provides not just challenging in depth knowledge but does so in a lively accessible way, by presenting the Edwardian season in a fresh and surprising light.We presented authentic-looking scenes of traditional Edwardian life but used CGI to pepper them with elements of the modern day which easily fitted into the busy scenes of day to day life a hundred years ago, illustrating that although the Edwardians pre-date us, they were still very much people like us.
