We chose the four BMWs billboards that would reach the maximum amount of people possible. Four artists painted on the billboards over the course of four days. During peak hour traffic alone during those days, more than one million Auckland commuters saw the billboards as they unfolded. At the end of the four days, the artists finally painted and revealed the line, “See BMWs turned into art,” along with the exhibition details.
Outcome
More than one million Auckland commuters drove past the sites over the four-day period. This resulted in high numbers at the exhibition that far exceeded all expectations.
