THE BMW i BORN ELECTRIC TOUR:

- GLOBAL ROADSHOW (TOKYO > RHINE-RUHR > ROME > NEW YORK) TO INTRODUCE ELECTRIC CAR

- MOBILE MARKETPLACE FOR ALTERNATIVE IDEAS

Execution

In every town or city, the mobile marketplace concept opens the door to people whose culture of living already includes sustainability. This is where visionary forward thinkers and their concepts encounter industries and brands that already depend on their sustainability story. Works by local artists provide content-related and visual impetus.

Interested parties in all age brackets get together to discover and get to know these themes and product ranges and to discuss them with the ‘movers and shakers’. The newly conceived electric cars flank the roadshow exhibited as the hosts of the show.

Outcome

Presented in this way, BMW i comes across as part of the urban transformation – towards more sustainability. During the roadshow, many guests were enthusiastic about BMW i and pre-ordered BMW i products. As a result, the roadshow is going to continue its journey via London, Paris and Shanghai after making stops in Rome, Rhine-Ruhr, Tokyo and New York in 2013, finally ending with the presentation of its series products at the IAA 2013.
