Description
To get the existing fan base excited for the upcoming in-game event we went to the place they look to for guidance within the game - the Youtube personalities who create all kinds of content about Boom. By sending the most influential YouTubers packages teasing the event, we not only made YouTubers part of the campaign, but also further demonstrated the reach and evil intentions of the great Dr. T.
Execution
Each of the YouTube Personalities received “Dr. T’s Box of Unhelpful Tools”…including a customized map of their base, tissue for all the tears about to be shed, and a personalized letter telling them how dumb they are. The YouTubers then posted unboxing content videos on their channels.
Outcome
The videos from the YouTuber channels have garnered nearly 400,000 thousand from Boom Beach Community.
