The native app runs internationally in 100 languages and also has specific local content – from product catalogue through to local service offers.

The Bosch Toolbox App combines the following features:

- Measurement camera: Enter measured values directly into a photo

- Building documentation: Efficient documentation of projects directly on the jobsite

- Converter: Quick conversion of more than 50 units

- Report sheet: Quick and easy recording of journey, work done and materials used. Reports can be signed digitally by customers.

Additionally to the product catalogue, the app also contains a dealer locator via GPS and other helpful services.

Outcome

- Total app downloads: 2.4 million worldwide (03/2014). User ratings: 4.5/5 stars in Apple App Store and Google Play. Positive impact on the brand image: Market research results confirm an impact especially regarding innovative aspects of the Bosch brand. Therefore Bosch achieved an even stronger perception of the brand as a professional solution provider.

- Usability studies have clearly demonstrated a very positive feedback, particularly in the area ease of use and joy of use.

- Reach of younger target groups: The app offers a great opportunity to reach younger target groups and influence the brand perception within younger generations.
