Description
We have a strange situation in the Russian theater world today. Pop-stars are playing roles in doubtful theater productions with sold-out venues yet poor artistic value but people are going to the theaters only to look at them. On the other side Merited artists keep young artists out of popular theatrical stages returning to the stage season after season in Romeo and Juliette roles until they are 60. Looks like hell. Therefore a lot of young talented graduates banded together in new theater troupes and playing their heart out in near empty venues. They have no external financing and work almost for free. Unknown=useless. Thus we bury young talents risking never seeing really great theater artists in future. It is time to understand that the real stars are lit up by the our applause. Our hands. Visit new theatrical venues and look at young talented artists. They are unmerited yet, but merit your attention.P.S. In Russian language word 'trupy' means 'dead' but word 'truppa' means 'troupe/company of artists.' Two letters, round of applause, great difference.
