Description
• Kit Kat actually provides a break to people who are in boring, time-consuming or tiring activities: standing on lines, doing physical work, waiting for services.
Execution
• Promoters dressed in Kat Kat Squad uniforms, traveling in a Kit Kat Squad van, arrived unexpectedly at high-traffic places (for visibility) bringing chairs where tired people could “take a break” from whatever they were doing (an eat their Kit Kat bar) while the promoter actually took the person’s place in line or did a brief shift of the person’s work.
Outcome
• The project is still in the pilot stage – activations performed in high visibility areas generated buzz and a feeling of joy among participants and witnesses. The program was approved for deployment during the summer season – where the heat makes the “break” even more desirable.
