Background
HungerStation, the first food delivery app in Saudi Arabia operating since 2012, is now facing an increase in competitors who claim to be the fastest, which has always been the hallmark of HungerStation.
The brief tasked us with creating a buzz-worthy campaign to emphasize and prove HungerStation’s ownership of speed and fast deliveries, as well showcase the strength of their delivery drivers. Our objective was to reestablish their position as the fastest by reinterpreting the brand’s motto "Before Everyone."
Idea
HungerStation proudly presents: “THEEB MA YKHEEB”. An entertaining mini-series featuring our very own riders also knows as “Theebs”, shattering speed records in all its forms, officially certified by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS themselves.
You see, Guinness is known for their ground-breaking records, but, they have some pretty wacky ones too, and that was our clever hack into their books. Fast… but just not your typical fast. Every episode played strictly by Guinness’s rule book, as a Guinness Official judged our record-breaking dash to the door, awarding each of our riders their well-deserved certificate.
And people loved the show, to an extent they started sending us their wacky and creative ideas for us to break next. We then invited those with a need for speed to join our riders’ crew and break further records for the upcoming seasons.
Strategy
HungerStation, the first food delivery app in Saudi Arabia, has been encountering intense competition from new entrants in the market. These competitors have been claiming to provide faster delivery services, which has always been HungerStation’s core value proposition.
To reinforce the brand’s claim of being the fastest delivery service, we adopted a more engaging approach by creating a memorable, entertaining online show that showcases speed in all its forms. This approach was different from the conventional interpretations of speed, such as sports car stunts and rocket visuals. Additionally, the heavy YouTube viewership in Saudi Arabia makes it a prime audience for fresh and entertaining content.
The series aimed to reinterpret HungerStation's popular slogan, "Before Everyone," and to demonstrate its positioning as the fastest delivery service. To reinforce this message, we went the extra mile and had the delivery times officially certified by the renowned and credible Guinness World Records themselves.
Execution
We teamed up with the legendary Guinness World Records to create a thrilling series of record-breaking challenges! An internal campaign hand-picked the boldest riders to push their limits in a series of wacky, heart-pumping, and fun-filled deliveries. As we worked with Guinness, we made sure that every record was authentic, but the challenge didn't end there. Guinness had a strict set of rules that could impact each attempt. Despite these challenges, we managed to successfully pull it off.
First season four record-breaking episodes:

• The Fastest Delivery on a Tricycle
• The Fastest Delivery Pushing a Loaded Shopping Trolley
• The Fastest Delivery Dribbling a Football While Holding a Food Tray
And this is just the beginning! We're already hard at work on Season 2
