Description
To pay tribute to this great icon in the boldest way possible, Doritos Rainbow pulled the original rainbow flag out of the closet and took it to the most dangerous place for the LGBT community in the world: Brazil.

- Brazil is confronting an epidemic of anti-gay violence. *The New York Times
Doritos transformed the six-color flag of the Brazilian gay pride parade into a massive eight-color flag, just the way Gilbert Baker designed it in 1978.
Execution
The Original Rainbow flag’s resurrection went far beyond the Pride Parade. The campaign raised funds for an institution that shelters gay and transsexual people kicked out of their homes by their families. Whoever donated would get a bag of Rainbow Doritos and a copy of the original flag delivered to them.
Outcome
160.000 bags and Original Rainbow flags were delivered, and the fund drive to support the shelter for gay and transsexual people hit 107% of its goal. The initiative was a success, and really took off on social media. Even Jean Wyllys, the only openly gay member of Congress, posted about the campaign spontaneously on his social media accounts. All this made the Original Rainbow the most successful campaign in the history of Pepsico Brazil.
