A grandfather tries to mend fences after a falling-out with his brother at Christmas-time.

He`s being spurred on to do so by his critical teenage grand-daughter, but she turns down all his complicated suggestions on lines to write in the Christmas letter.

After a series of attempts, he gives up the whole idea of writing a letter, and in stead the two of them drive through the snowy landscapes to his brother, where he patches everything up with a simple, heartfelt "God jul", or "Merry Christmas".
