Background
Apple TV+ is still young in an incredibly crowded streaming category. Our objective was to reach a mass audience, encompassing Gen Z entertainment enthusiasts and average viewers alike, getting streamers excited about the incredible star power in Apple TV+'s original programming.
Anything Timothee does or says is consumed and discussed across platforms. That’s where his influential envy comes in. We showed the one hole in his armor, and he told the world what was making him jealous with a methodical breakdown of all the best Apple TV+ content.
Our idea is simple. Show the breadth and quality of our content through the envy it inspires in the hottest actor in Hollywood. This campaign demonstrated to the world how good Apple TV+ is by having them all look through the eyes of someone who wishes they could be a part of it.
Execution
Timothée Chalamet was the whole inspiration for this idea. His work across five films nominated for Best Picture in the last five years, along with his undeniable social presence make him a clear choice as hottest young actor. Setting him up perfectly for the role of brooding young star that’s developed serious FOMO over the envy-inducing content on Apple TV+.
Only a talent like Timothée Chalamet could have pulled this off. The pensive, brooding, moody young man lives up to his legend, leaving fans and viewers everyone talking about our titles and this film.
