OVERVIEW

Description

Campaigns against child abuse are known for shocking images of beaten-up children or stereotypical offenders. This campaign, made for the Dutch Ministry of Youth and Families, takes a step in a different direction with the use of modest imagery, staged in and around family homes. The consequences of child abuse take on the form of quotes said to the victims of child abuse. As the consequences are often suffered for a liftetime, these physical quotes surface in the family environment. The campaign makes you feel like a bystander to child abuse. Though bystanders often suspect child abuse, most cases remain unreported to the authorities. The message of this campaign is: If you suspect child abuse, take action!
