Description
Carly’s Café is an interactive film set in a cafe that plays with user experience expectations to allow people to feel what it’s like to live with Autism.
The film is shot from a first person perspective and the user can explore the café freely using their cursor. As the film progresses, intense distractions start to take over and control of the site is temporarily lost. These distractions occur with increasing frequency, until finally, interactivity is lost completely.
By playing with usability that people take for granted, we create real frustration in the user, and have them feel the struggle for control that people living with Autism face every day.
