The Holdovers are a family that is ridiculously stuck in their ways, taking a resistance to change to a whole new level. They use an antenna to watch television. VHS is their media of choice. They would sooner send a fax than a text message. In every way, they are blind to the benefits of change. This also impacts their perspective when it comes to switching their energy provider for better service and rates, where the family’s perspective is “the only thing to fear is change itself”. The family of four walks through their daily lifestyle to show the absurdity of the mindset and prove that there is a better way to being stuck in your ways. By exposing the absurdity of this family’s lifestyle, we prove that there is a much better way than being stuck in your ways.
